BetterCertify is pleased to offer a limited number of Opportunity Next scholarships for recent high school graduates to pursue in-demand careers in the trades. Colorado’s class of 2024 is eligible for up to $1,500 in trade school scholarship funding (per student), no FAFSA required.
With BetterCertify, scholarships will cover one of two paths.
CONTRACTOR TRACK
Scholarship covers:
- Asbestos Supervisor Initial tuition
- 10-hour OSHA Construction tuition
- CDPHE license fee
- Qualitative fit test
- Equipment including a hardhat, ½ face respirator, set of magenta respirator cartridges, a safety vest, safety glasses, and rubber boots
Upon successful completion of the contractor track, graduates will be qualified to apply for asbestos abatement supervisor positions.
CONSULTANT TRACK
Scholarship covers:
- Asbestos Building Inspector Initial tuition
- Asbestos Air Monitoring Specialis Initial tuition
- CDPHE license fee (Inspector only)
- Qualitative fit test
- Equipment including ½ face respirator, set of magenta respirator cartridges, a safety vest, and safety glasses
Upon successful completion of the contractor track, graduates will be qualified to perform asbestos building inspections, write in-demand final building inspection reports, and collect asbestos air samples as part of any asbestos abatement project.
