This 8hr initial training prepares workers for work with asbestos containing roofing materials in accordance with OSHA’s Asbestos Standard (1926.1101(k)(9)(iv). Training includes at a minimum all the elements included in paragraph (k)(9)(viii) of the standard and in addition, the specific work practices and engineering controls set forth in paragraph (g). This course also includes “hands-on” training including donning and doffing PPE and waste handling exercises.
