As an ongoing minimum requirement to perform final visual inspection, air monitoring, or asbestos spill delineation, the 4 hour initial asbestos air monitoring certificate is the ideal solution for anyone looking to continue their career in the asbestos consulting industry. This course will explore updates and advancements in inspection and air collection/analysis activities in all areas of public, commercial, private, industrial, educational, governmental, and residential buildings/sites and give information on how to properly place and collect air samples as part of the abatement process. With this certification, the student will be in compliance with the annual renewal requirements of the asbestos Air Monitoring Specialist certification.

  • Functions, qualifications, and roles of an asbestos Air Monitoring Specialist.
  • Asbestos basics such as where the harmful mineral can be found today, its physical characteristics, and its hazards on human health and the environment.
  • Regulatory review.
  • Work methods pertaining to asbestos in soils in Colorado.
  • Identify building construction and systems.
