BetterCertify has been working with the facilities and maintenance department of Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU) since 2020. On a yearly basis, we provide bulk enrollment and online compliance training for its facilities maintenance team.
The Goal
Ricardo Matus, the Safety/Environmental Compliance Associate in NEIU’s Facilities Management department, approached BetterCertify in 2020 about the university’s safety credentialing needs. The facilities maintenance department was seeking a solution for certification for its team members in the areas of asbestos and bloodborne pathogens.
Due to the nature of their maintenance teams’ tasks and schedules, NEIU wanted the flexibility and convenience of an online learning option for its staff.
The Solution
Our award-winning, innovative online classes offer a suite of enterprise-level solutions including flexible bulk enrollment and a dedicated client resource manager. Our approach has a 95% student success rate resulting in reliable certification for NEIU’s entire team of facilities maintenance personnel. Something they rely on annually!
We offer an online option for Asbestos Awareness course and certification, as well as an online option for its OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens course and certification.
Outcome
In the three years since we’ve partnered with NEIU as their safety/environmental training provider, we have issued their staff 321 certifications. In 2023 alone, we enrolled 65 students in our Asbestos Awareness Online course, and 59 students in our Bloodborne Pathogens online course.
