BetterCertify Leadership Team

Formerly known as CHC Training, BetterCertify is your comprehensive environmental safety, compliance, and professional training resource. Our new company mission is expanding from providing top-tier asbestos and lead training to encompassing a broad spectrum of subjects that equip professionals in the trades to safeguard themselves and their environments. 

We rebranded to BetterCertify in May 2024 to better reflect all that we are and all that we can become. BetterCertify retains the team, quality, standards, approvals, and vision of CHC Training while we continue to expand in scope and geography. Without limitations, BetterCertify paves the way for even more growth and innovation in technology-forward, student-centered training solutions.

All certificates and course approvals issued under the CHC brand remain valid. Certificate holders don’t need to do anything until they are up for renewal. Current certificates and course registrations will not be affected.

Founder and CEO

Danaya Wilson is the visionary and leader behind BetterCertify. With 17 years of experience in compliance and occupational safety education, she is best known for pioneering remote learning in the environmental industry. A 2024 Denver Business Journal 40 Under 40 and Titan 100 honoree, Danaya also serves on the boards of the Environmental Information Association and the Colorado Environmental Professionals Association.

Chris Feaster

Business Operations Manager

Chris Feaster is a customer service, sales and accounting specialist who brings 16 years of hospitality experience to his work overseeing BetterCertify’s day-to-day operations. Since joining the team in 2022, Chris has helped the organization achieve accreditation in numerous states including Texas and New Hampshire and was instrumental in expanding the organization into Canada.

Office Manager

Phillip Stratton puts his organizational and customer service skills to use every day facilitating BetterCertify learning experiences. With a genuine interest in student success, Phillip works on every phase of the training process and supports students from enrollment to certification. Phillip studied physics and education at MSU Denver and worked in customer service management, human resources and recruiting prior to joining BetterCertify.

Client Resource Manager

Lizbeth Castro is the face of BetterCertify for many of our online students - helping them through registration and technical difficulties, grading assignments, checking requirements and overseeing groups. She ensures every student has the best-possible online experience, smoothing the transition for many first-time online learners. A bilingual English and Spanish-speaker, Lizbeth is a vital resource for our Spanish-speaking students and helps enable BetterCertify to offer Spanish-language courses.
